An eighteenth-century farmhouse, brought to a contemporary luxury standard.

The original farmhouse on the Gelli Newydd estate — twenty-two acres of former hill farm, with walks from the door, lakeside trails within reach, and the village (with two pubs) a short walk down the valley.

Three-hundred-year-old stone walls, original oak beams, and an inglenook fireplace at the centre of the house. The bones are historic; the rest is new. A Shaker kitchen with high-end appliances and three bedrooms across the upper floors. The family bathroom has a freestanding stone-grey bath set beneath a window framing the valley.

Outside, a covered dining terrace with a stone-built BBQ alongside. The hot tub — newly installed in April 2025 — sits on the patio, to the side of the house, with an unobstructed view looking straight down the Conwy Valley.

Six guests across three bedrooms. The cottage to choose when the holiday is about being together — a family Christmas, a milestone birthday, a long weekend with friends.

"Something very special, almost magical about this place. Viewing the hills and stars at night from the hot tub was life-affirming. The hill walk returning from the pub will get the heart pumping too. Great communication from Lisa and the welcome pack was much appreciated. A must visit."

"I could happily live there! Lisa and Martin were friendly, helpful and quick to respond to queries. And Lisa's carrot chutney, as part of a lovely welcome package, was dee-licious. We would definitely return."
