Sunrise at Gelli Newydd — lake mist between the cottages, stone wall and iron gate in the foreground, ancient tree silhouetted
A new grove, an old place

A former hill farm, reimagined.

Martin and Lisa ran an award-winning bathroom business for fifteen years before finding Gelli Newydd at auction in 2018. A working hill farm. Views that stopped them in their tracks.

After almost three years of planning, design and build — every detail checked twice, because that's how they always worked — they opened the cottages and have been sharing them with guests ever since. The name means new grove in Welsh.

The 22-acre estate, the ancient beech tree, the morning mist over the valley — all of it comes with your stay.
